Prime Minister praises the efforts of those running the society and the quality projects and programs it provides in service of the local community.

Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan inspected several sites in Wadi Al-Seer District on Tuesday as part of his field inspection tours.

During the tour, the Prime Minister visited the Iraq Al-Amir Women’s Cooperative Society, which is active in implementing productive and heritage-based projects and programs. He praised the efforts of those in charge and the quality initiatives it offers in service of the local community, as well as its role in highlighting heritage products and creating employment opportunities.

In the presence of the Director General of the Jordan Cooperative Corporation, Abdul Fattah Al-Shibli, the Prime Minister directed support for the society, which was established in 2001, to help expand its programs and activities and facilitate access to marketing outlets for promoting its products, which rely on recycling natural materials available in the environment.

The society includes a pottery workshop, a weaving workshop, a handmade paper workshop, a production kitchen, and a tourist rest area, and it provides 22 job opportunities for members of the local community.

The Prime Minister also inspected Iraq Al-Amir Mixed Secondary School, where he directed the expansion of the school and improvement of its facilities to better serve students and teachers.

He praised the “Cleanliness Ambassador” initiative launched by the school, which aims to spread environmental awareness and promote cleanliness behavior within schools, stressing the importance of implementing it across all schools.

In the presence of Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, the Prime Minister commended this distinguished initiative and emphasized the need to generalize it across all schools. He also ordered comprehensive maintenance for the school, which was established in 1999 and includes more than 600 male and female students, along with improving its facilities for students and teachers.

The Prime Minister also inspected the Iraq Al-Amir Sub-Health Center in the presence of Minister of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour. He directed that permanent transportation be provided starting next week to facilitate patients’ access to Al-Bassa Comprehensive Health Center, located about 3 kilometers away from the sub-center, along with expanding the healthcare services provided by the comprehensive center to better serve citizens.

The Prime Minister was accompanied during the tour by Amman Governor Yasser Al-Adwan.
