A military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five missiles launched from Iran toward the Azraq area in Zarqa Governorate on Tuesday evening.

The source explained that the interception operation led to the fall of missile debris, but no injuries or property damage were reported. He added that engineering teams dealt with the remnants of the missiles to ensure they contained no unexploded materials.

The source emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces are closely monitoring ongoing regional developments and remain at the highest level of operational readiness to safeguard the Kingdom’s airspace and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stressed that Jordan will not permit any violation of its airspace by any party.
