The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority stated that its inspection teams from the Internal Control Unit, the Groundwater Basins Department, and the Workshops Directorate, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, coordinated a campaign that successfully detected an illegal well in the Muqabila area of Jerash on Wednesday. The operation was carried out based on information indicating that an illegal well was being dug in an unauthorized and unlawful manner.

Providing further details, the ministry explained that the well, which had a diameter of one and a half meters, was seized in the Muqabila area of Jerash. The well was subsequently backfilled (sealed), and official violation reports were filed to complete the legal procedures in this regard.
The Ministry / Water Authority and its departments praised the cooperation and support provided by the Public Security Directorate and its various units to enforce the law and protect the water rights of citizens.
