The move is justified by the pretext of preventing fire toward Israeli border settlements.

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army stated that its forces are stationed at several strategic points in southern Lebanon as part of a "forward defense operation" to protect towns in northern Israel.
In a statement, the army noted that the 91st Division is operating in southern Lebanon and is positioned at several strategic points in the area to strengthen the forward defense system.
Since Saturday, Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran, which led to the death of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and several countries in the region with missiles and drones.
