The Israeli occupation army announced Thursday that it had carried out 170 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, as part of the ongoing genocide against Palestinians for the past two years.

In a statement received by Anadolu Agency, the army said: “The Air Force struck more than 170 targets across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.”
For two years, the Israeli army has claimed to be targeting military sites, while in reality striking Palestinian civilians, bombing homes over the heads of their residents, and attacking civilian institutions, including hospitals, schools, and aid distribution centers.
The statement added: “Forces of the 162nd Division continue fighting deep inside Gaza City, where they attacked a number of infrastructure sites.”
The army alleged that the targeted infrastructure in Gaza City had been “used to set up ambushes against Israeli forces in the area.”
It continued: “At the same time, forces of the 98th Division attacked about 20 targets in the area,” in addition to strikes by the 36th Division.
It further stated: “In the northern Strip, forces of the 99th Division are working to destroy infrastructure both above and below ground,” claiming to have destroyed “an ambush site where an explosive device field was discovered.”
