Amman – Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin held a meeting with stakeholders involved in the Amman Civil Airport / Marka file, in the presence of Captain Haitham Mastou, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, and representatives from the Jordan Airports Company and relevant authorities.

The meeting addressed several technical and procedural aspects related to completing the airport’s licensing requirements, including civil aviation security, updating airport facilities, equipping passenger halls to the highest service standards, and developing safety and inspection systems in line with international regulations and standards.
Minister Al-Qatamin emphasized the importance of expediting the necessary steps to prepare the airport for licensing and full operation, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the aviation transport system and strengthen Jordan’s regional position.
He noted that the ministry is working directly and in full coordination with the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, the Jordan Airports Company, and all relevant partners to ensure that the airport meets all technical and security requirements according to the highest international standards, serving the public interest and improving the quality of services provided to passengers.
