The Ministry of Education will announce this evening, Wednesday, the results of the General Secondary Examination under the new system for 11th grade students, the 2008 cohort.

The Ministry stated that the results will be announced at 5:00 p.m. through the designated website:
www.tawjihi.jo
, confirming that printed copies of the results will be available in schools tomorrow morning, Thursday.
It added that the transcript will not include a final average, since these exams account for only 30% of the Tawjihi grade, while next year carries 70% of the average. This year, students sat for exams in Islamic Education, Arabic Language, English Language, and the History of Jordan.
Mohammad Shehadeh, Director of the Examinations and Tests Department at the Ministry of Education, had earlier explained the calculation mechanism: for Muslim students, the grades of the four subjects are added and the total divided by 10; while for Christian students, the grades of the three subjects (excluding Islamic Education) are added and the total divided by 8.
