U.S. President Donald Trump is set on Tuesday to present a set of principles to Arab and Muslim leaders concerning an end to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and arrangements for governance in the post-war phase. According to Axios, citing American and Arab officials, the plan represents Washington’s clearest proposal so far to halt the fighting.اضافة اعلان

The U.S. initiative focuses on ending the war, securing the release of hostages, and Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza, in exchange for setting up governance arrangements in the Strip without Hamas. The plan also includes a proposal to deploy Arab and Muslim forces to Gaza to facilitate Israel’s withdrawal and ensure security, along with regional funding for reconstruction and transition.

Leaders and officials from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan are expected to participate in the meeting. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced Monday his country’s readiness to send troops as part of a peacekeeping force in Gaza.

The U.S. plan comes at a time when negotiations over a ceasefire and hostage release have stalled, while Israel pushes forward with three armored and infantry divisions toward the occupation of Gaza City. Internationally, a UN headquarters conference in support of a two-state solution concluded with France and several European countries announcing their recognition of the State of Palestine.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the Palestinian death toll has exceeded 65,000, most of them civilians, since October 7.

An American official told Axios: “Tomorrow’s meeting could be extremely important. We have a clear vision of how to end the war, and we want to present what we see as the only viable path, while securing regional support to ensure its success.” An Arab official confirmed that Trump is seeking feedback and backing from Arab leaders before moving forward with the plan.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aware of the broad outlines of the plan but realizes that some elements “will not satisfy the Israeli government,” particularly the potential role of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza. He added: “There are some bitter pills we will have to swallow.”

It remains unclear whether Trump will unveil his Gaza proposals during his speech at the UN General Assembly scheduled just hours before the meeting. Netanyahu, for his part, will visit the White House next week for his fourth meeting with Trump since January, with Gaza topping the agenda.
