Lebanese President Joseph Aoun extended his congratulations on Tuesday to the Lebanese people in general, and Muslims in particular, on the occasion of the Islamic New Year (Hijri), wishing that the new year brings goodness and safety to Lebanon and its people.

In a message on the occasion, Aoun stated that this anniversary comes at a time when Lebanon is passing through delicate and exceptional circumstances, alongside rapid regional developments that demand the highest degrees of awareness and responsibility.
He stressed the importance of strengthening national unity, rallying around state institutions, and enhancing humanitarian and national solidarity to confront challenges, thereby preserving Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability.
The Lebanese President added that he hopes upcoming developments will bring an end to the suffering of the Lebanese people, contribute to the liberation of occupied territories, and achieve the aspirations of Lebanese citizens for pride, dignity, and peace of mind.
Aoun concluded by emphasizing the necessity of standing together during this phase, wishing that prosperity and stability prevail across the country in the new year.
