Axios: Trump Expected to Announce Formation of Gaza Peace Council Next Week

Axios reported on Wednesday, citing senior U.S. officials and other informed sources, that U.S. President Donald Trump is expected next week to announce the establishment of a Peace Council in the Gaza Strip.اضافة اعلان

According to Axios, this will mark the beginning of the second phase of the agreement aimed at ending the war, following the creation of the council.

All parties had agreed in October 2025 to Trump’s ceasefire plan, which calls for Israel to withdraw from Gaza and Hamas to relinquish its weapons and any governing role in the territory.

However, Israel violated the agreement, conducting airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of more than 400 Palestinians—most of them civilians, according to health officials in Gaza.
