Press Release
On the 38th Anniversary of Our Launch: The Al-Aqsa Flood operation remains a landmark in our people’s struggle, and we continue along the path of our martyred leaders, remaining loyal to the blood and sacrifices of our people until the liberation of our land and holy sites, no matter the cost.
This anniversary comes more than two years after a brutal aggression and a campaign of extermination, starvation, and destruction unprecedented in history, targeting more than two million besieged people in Gaza, along with systematic crimes against our people in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, plans for land annexation, settlement expansion, and the Judaization of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Over these two years, our people, united with their courageous resistance, confronted this violent aggression with firm will, legendary steadfastness, and heroic struggle unparalleled in modern history.
On this 38th anniversary, we honor the founding leaders, especially the martyred Imam Ahmed Yassin, the leaders of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation—Haniyeh, Al-Sinwar, Al-Arouri, Al-Daif—and their fellow martyrs in Hamas leadership, who stood at the heart of this heroic battle alongside our people. We also honor the martyrs from Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, the occupied 1948 territories, refugee camps, and the diaspora, whose blood has mingled with that of our people.
We take pride in the steadfastness, courage, and sacrifices of our people everywhere, especially in Gaza, who defended the land and holy sites on behalf of the entire nation, as well as in the West Bank, Jerusalem, the 1948 occupied territories, and the refugee camps. We pray for the swift recovery of the wounded and the freedom of prisoners and detainees held by the Zionist enemy.
We reaffirm the following:
Al-Aqsa Flood was a towering milestone in our people’s journey toward freedom and independence and remains a true marker for expelling the occupation.
Despite two full years of aggression, the occupation has only succeeded in criminally targeting defenseless civilians, failing with its barbaric military machinery, fascist army, and U.S. support to achieve its aggressive objectives.
Hamas has adhered to all terms of the ceasefire, while the occupation continues daily violations and fabricates pretexts to evade its obligations. Accordingly, we reiterate:
We call on mediators and the U.S. administration to pressure the occupation and compel its fascist government to implement the agreement, condemning its continuous and systematic violations.
We urge the U.S. administration to honor its commitments regarding the ceasefire, pressuring the occupation to respect the truce, stop attacks on our people, open crossings—especially Rafah in both directions—and facilitate aid entry.
We categorically reject all forms of guardianship and trusteeship over Gaza or any of our occupied lands, warning against attempts at displacement or reshaping the Strip according to enemy plans. Our people alone decide their leadership and are capable of managing their affairs, with the legitimate right to defend themselves, liberate their land, and establish a fully sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital.
We call on Arab and Islamic nations, governments, peoples, and organizations to urgently mobilize all efforts and resources to pressure the occupation to halt aggression, open crossings, deliver aid, implement relief and reconstruction plans, and provide basic humanitarian needs for over two million Palestinians.
The crimes committed by the Zionist enemy during two years of extermination and starvation in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem are systematic and will not expire. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court must continue to pursue the occupation and its leaders, ensuring they do not escape accountability.
Hamas remains committed to its principles, loyal to the blood and sacrifices of its people and prisoners, safeguarding its values and identity, defending the aspirations of our people across all arenas until liberation and return.
Jerusalem and the captive Al-Aqsa Mosque remain central to the struggle against the Zionist entity; the occupation holds no legitimacy or sovereignty over them. Judaization and settlement plans will fail to erase their identity. Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of Palestine, and Al-Aqsa will remain purely Islamic.
The occupation’s crimes against prisoners are a sadistic, systematic policy that turns prisons into arenas for direct execution. The liberation of our prisoners remains a top national priority, and we condemn international silence, urging global institutions to pressure the occupation.
Our people’s inalienable national rights, including the right to resist by all means, are legitimate under international law and humanitarian norms and cannot be waived.
Achieving national unity and a collective strategy for reorganizing the Palestinian house is the only way to confront occupation plans aimed at liquidating our national cause and preventing the establishment of our independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The two-year campaign of extermination and starvation exposed the occupation as a rogue entity threatening regional and global security, requiring international action to curb, isolate, and end its occupation.
We value the sacrifices of all resistance forces and supporters worldwide and call for united efforts to support our people and resistance, directing all resources toward liberating Palestine and ending occupation.
We praise global solidarity movements with our people, appreciate official and popular positions supporting our cause, and call for intensified international advocacy against the occupation and its criminal acts, strengthening all forms of solidarity with our legitimate rights to freedom and independence.
Mercy to the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and freedom for prisoners and detainees.
It is a struggle—victory or martyrdom.
