AMMAN —
Minister of Investment Khairy Amr said that the ministry is preparing a
comprehensive investment map for the Kingdom, according to Ammon News.

The map will
identify competitive and investment sectors, priority economic activities, and
productive projects that generate job opportunities in all governorates of the
Kingdom. Most of these sectors were defined by the Economic Modernization
Vision and the ministry’s private investment promotion strategy for the years
2023–2026.
The map will
identify investment opportunities available to the ministry’s partners in the
local public and private sectors as well.
According to Amr,
the
Investment Environment law, which was recently approved by Parliament,
calls for preparing an investment map for the Kingdom that identifies
investment opportunities according to sectors and governorates, including
partnership projects with the private sector.
Amr stressed that
the Kingdom is rich in investment opportunities in sectors with high added
value, such as information and communication technology, health care, pharmaceutical
industries, tourism and medical tourism, education, logistics, infrastructure,
energy, transportation, and others.
As for electronic
platform City Builder, which was launched in cooperation with Citigroup, Amr
said that it is one of the investment promotion tools that the ministry
resorted to in order to reach potential investors in international markets and
those who deal with Citigroup.
Citigroup launched
the City Builder platform for the first time in the US in 2019; it now includes
Milan, Italy, and Jordan.
