Jordan’s national industrial exports, particularly clothing, fertilizers, pharmaceutical preparations, phosphates, and potash, performed positively in the first half of this year, contributing to the overall growth of national exports.اضافة اعلان

According to foreign trade data from the Department of Statistics, monitored by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), six key industrial commodities accounted for 56 percent of the total value of national exports in the first half of 2025, which amounted to JD 4.379 billion. These were clothing, fertilizers, jewelry, pharmaceutical preparations, phosphates, and raw potash.

Clothing topped the list of exported commodities during this period, with a value of JD 831 million, compared to JD 768 million for the same period last year, marking an 8.2 percent growth.

Fertilizer exports also increased by 10.2 percent, reaching JD 487 million, up from JD 442 million in the corresponding period of last year. Pharmaceutical preparations rose by 10 percent to JD 308 million, compared to JD 280 million in the same period of the previous year.

Phosphate exports recorded a slight increase of 0.8 percent, reaching JD 265 million, compared to JD 263 million in the same period last year. Potash exports rose by 4.7 percent to JD 244 million, up from JD 233 million for the same period of last year.

In contrast, exports of jewelry decreased by 15.5 percent in the first half of this year, amounting to JD 317 million, compared to JD 375 million in the same period last year.

“National exports” are defined as goods and services produced domestically and exported abroad, representing products and services generated by local institutions and companies and sold to other countries.
