Jaghbir: Smear Campaigns Against Jordan’s Support for Gaza Are “Unjust and Unacceptable Denial”
Fathi Jaghbir, President of both the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, affirmed that smear campaigns targeting Jordan’s role in supporting Gaza constitute “unjust and unacceptable denial” and a distortion of a longstanding national commitment led by His Majesty King Abdullah II. He emphasized that the industrial chambers have been a key part of this effort since the first day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.اضافة اعلان

In a press statement, Jaghbir said the chambers of industry in Jordan launched a large-scale campaign on October 9, 2023, to collect financial and in-kind donations for Gaza, in full coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to ensure that aid reaches the Strip swiftly and effectively.

“What we are witnessing in terms of incitement campaigns against Jordan and attacks on its embassies is an unacceptable distortion—not just of institutions but of Jordan’s steadfast and principled role in supporting the Palestinian people,” Jaghbir said.

He stressed that all Jordanians reject any attempts to diminish or deny Jordan’s contributions, affirming that supporting Gaza is a national duty and an honor, not merely symbolic solidarity.

Jaghbir underlined that the industrial chambers worked in full partnership with the JHCO to be part of a comprehensive national effort led by Jordan’s leadership in support of Gaza—an effort that has never ceased, despite mounting challenges and pressures.

He warned that attempts to discredit this role, whether through targeting Jordanian institutions or inciting against the Kingdom, are a direct attack on a firm official and popular stance that is non-negotiable.

“What’s happening—this deliberate defamation of Jordan—is a blatant disregard for facts,” he concluded, stressing that standing with Gaza has never been up for debate, but is a united national choice made by both the state and the people.
