Minister of Transport, Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, emphasized that utilizing modern technology has become essential for the development of the transport sector in Jordan, highlighting the need for a comprehensive and unified database that links all relevant institutions.

During his meeting on Sunday with the Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, Engineer Bassam Al-Sarhan, and in the presence of the Ministry’s Secretary-General, Engineer Fares Abu Dayyeh, Al-Qatamin stated that the ministry is working to improve the state of transportation in line with the requirements of the coming phase. He explained that technology is a key tool for improving the level of services provided to both citizens and the business sector.
For his part, Al-Sarhan expressed the Commission's readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Transport and offer the necessary expertise and resources to support efforts in integrating technology into the transport sector, considering it a vital area that directly impacts citizens’ lives and facilitates the movement of goods and trade.
The meeting also addressed the importance of the transport sector as one of the key pillars supporting the national economy and serving the public. Both parties stressed the need to develop the sector’s infrastructure and rely on modern technologies as a fundamental pillar to enhance its efficiency and sustainability.
