Social Security Investment Fund: Investment Decisions Go Through Four Stages and Are Based on Economic Feasibility
The Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) stated that investment decisions are made within an integrated corporate system—beginning with the evaluation of investment opportunities by specialized directorates, and concluding with decision-making by the Social Security Investment Board within its authority and the general framework of the investment policy and plan.اضافة اعلان

In a statement, the Fund explained that the relevant directorates study investment opportunities to verify their alignment with general investment objectives according to the pillars of the investment policy, prior to submitting their recommendations to the Investment Committee.

It added that the Board of Directors of the Social Security Corporation is responsible for approving the general investment policy, the overall investment plan, strategic asset allocation, and guidelines for investment decision-making. Meanwhile, the Investment Committee reviews the opportunities submitted by the directorates to either make decisions within its delegated authority or submit recommendations to the Social Security Investment Board.

The Fund affirmed that investment decisions are based on criteria including economic feasibility, expected returns, and risk levels within the controls of the investment policy. It emphasized that investment decisions are independent, unlinked to government decisions, and not individual choices, but rather issued within a comprehensive institutional framework.

It also noted that investment decisions are subject to an internal and external oversight system to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability, stressing that financial results and portfolio diversification reflect the efficiency of the Fund's investment approach.
