Tax Department Urges Submission of Settlement Requests for Penalty Exemptions
The Income and Sales Tax Department has renewed its call for companies, businesses, and individuals to take advantage of the Cabinet’s decision to extend the work of the Tax Settlement and Reconciliation Committee until the end of June 2026, covering tax claims due up to December 31, 2024.اضافة اعلان

The department stated that the decision allows taxpayers to submit electronic requests for settlement or installment payment plans through its official website in order to benefit from the approved exemptions and facilitation measures, helping them regularize their tax status and settle outstanding financial liabilities from previous years.

It explained that the settlement applies to income tax and sales tax claims regardless of value, including cases in which final judicial rulings have already been issued, with the exception of cases involving tax evasion offenses.

The department also noted that applications can be submitted electronically using a dedicated form available on its website, without any fees or charges, whether the request is submitted directly by the taxpayer or through an authorized representative.

The department urged taxpayers to act promptly and make use of the available period to settle their outstanding tax obligations.
