Publication Ban Issued in Indecent Assault Case Involving Minors
The Media Commission on Tuesday issued a directive to print and digital media outlets, radio and television broadcasters, and social media platforms regarding an order from the Deputy Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court dated May 12, 2026, imposing a publication ban on investigative case No. 2026/620 concerning an indecent assault case involving minors.اضافة اعلان

The commission stressed the need to refrain from publishing, republishing, or circulating any information, images, or videos related to the case or the ongoing investigation, warning that doing so could negatively affect the investigation and may lead to criminal legal consequences.

Earlier on Sunday, the Public Security Directorate’s media spokesperson announced details of the case, which had been circulating on social media, involving allegations that an individual assaulted minors inside his home.

The spokesperson stated that a report was received by the Family Protection Department concerning the alleged sexual assault of three minors by an individual in the capital. The minors were identified and summoned, their families filed formal complaints, and the suspect was arrested.

He was subsequently referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court, who ordered his detention at a correctional and rehabilitation facility on charges related to indecent assault.
