In a press statement on Monday, he emphasized that the flag embodies the historical continuity of the state, linking modern Jordan to its roots. This is reflected in its colors, inspired by Arab and Islamic civilizations, the Great Arab Revolt, and the Hashemite leadership.

He noted that celebrating the national Jordanian Flag Day, observed on Thursday, April 16, enhances the sense of belonging to the country. He added that the ministry has organized a series of unified and engaging events under the campaign “Our Flag is High” to mark the occasion and highlight its significance.

Al-Rawashdeh explained that the flag will be raised simultaneously across all governorates at 12:00 noon, organized by the Ministry of Interior, with participation from the Jordan Armed Forces band, official bodies, volunteers, and scout groups.

He added that the main evening celebrations, starting at 8:30 p.m., will feature performances by prominent Jordanian artists across different governorates:

Amman: Omar Al-Abdallat at the Roman Theater
Irbid: Bashar Al-Sarhan and Hossam & Wissam Al-Louzi at King Abdullah II Gardens
Zarqa: Hamdi Al-Manaseer at the Royal Urban Village Theater
Karak: Saad Abu Diya at Prince Faisal Youth Complex
Aqaba: Diana Karazon at Al-Thawra Square Stage

The program will also include live broadcast screens of the celebrations in several locations, including Salt Secondary School, Jerash Cultural Center, Ajloun Visitor Center, Madaba Visitor Center, Ataallah Al-Shbeil Park in Mafraq, Tafileh Reconstruction Institution, and Ma’an Directorate of Culture.
