The briefing covered the force's work under current regional conditions, alongside modernisation programmes running across the armed forces.

Al-Harasis also visited Muwaffaq Al-Salti Air Base, where he received a briefing on its operational role in protecting Jordanian airspace and its state of readiness. The visit came hours after Jordanian air defences engaged 20 ballistic missiles fired from Iranian territory, destroying 18. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had targeted the base. Neither the armed forces statement on the interceptions nor the account of Wednesday's visit refers to the other.

The air force is a central element of the national defence system, Al-Harasis said, calling for sustained readiness and continued investment in personnel and technology. He closed the visit by commending the professionalism of air force members.
