The project extends over 42 kilometers, with technical teams starting the supply and installation of high-efficiency LED lighting units powered بالكامل by solar energy. The lighting will cover the entire corridor, with top priority given to key intersections, entrances, exits, and high-traffic sections to ensure maximum road safety and nighttime visibility in line with international standards.
The project relies on smart lighting technologies featuring an advanced automated control system that adjusts light intensity based on traffic density and nighttime conditions. The system also enables remote monitoring of poles and batteries to ensure operational sustainability and rapid maintenance.
The use of solar energy provides full independence from the traditional power grid, eliminating issues such as power outages or cable damage. It also ensures sufficient energy storage for efficient operation even under cloudy weather conditions, supporting the ministry’s vision of transitioning toward green and smart infrastructure.
