Income Tax Department Commences Disbursement of Refunds for 2024 Income Tax Returns

The Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) has commenced procedures to disburse income tax refunds due to taxpayers for tax returns filed during 2025 regarding income earned in 2024.اضافة اعلان

According to a statement released by the Department on Sunday, the disbursement covers all audited refunds that have been remitted by employers. This move aims to conclude the file of accumulated income tax refunds from previous years.

The disbursement also includes tax returns filed by taxpayers during January of the current year, 2026.

Approximately 140,000 taxpayers—including employees, workers, individuals, and corporations—are covered under this refund cycle.
