KUNA – Kuwait announced on Tuesday the arrest of four infiltrators affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) who allegedly attempted to enter the country by sea.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said that one member of the armed forces was injured during a clash with the infiltrators.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior stated that, during interrogation, the detained group admitted to belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and confessed that they had been assigned to infiltrate Bubiyan Island aboard a fishing boat that had been specifically rented to carry out hostile acts against Kuwait.
According to the statement, the infiltrators engaged in an armed confrontation with Kuwaiti armed forces, resulting in the injury of a military serviceman, while two other infiltrators reportedly fled the scene.
