Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh convened with Banga for a pivotal discussion concerning outlined priorities to assist Jordan in overcoming economic challenges, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

The prime minister emphasized that the overall economic indicators were progressing well until October 7, 2023. The growth rate had reached 2.8 percent. However, the Israeli war on Gaza cast a shadow over several economic sectors, particularly tourism. Despite these challenges, the government remains committed to its economic and developmental plans.

Despite the hurdles, the government remains committed to its economic and development goals. Jordan underscored its ongoing support for a variety of important projects in sectors including entrepreneurship, education, transportation, water, and information technology.

Banga reaffirmed the Bank's support for Jordan's reforms, emphasizing the significance of encouraging entrepreneurship, startups, and job opportunities, particularly for young people and women. Jordan's strong connection with the World Bank, as well as cooperation with other international financial institutions, has helped the Kingdom mitigate economic crises.

Furthermore, Banga recognized Jordan's unique position in a complex regional and geographical environment, winning respect and recognition from the vast majority of countries, institutions, and international organizations.
