His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a meeting on Tuesday with Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, reaffirmed Jordan’s full support for Lebanon in strengthening its security and preserving its sovereignty.

In the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty stressed the importance of expanding cooperation between Jordan and Lebanon in various fields, particularly the economic sector.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, His Majesty called for maintaining coordination with brotherly and friendly nations to achieve regional stability.
On Syria, His Majesty emphasized that Syria’s security and stability are a shared priority, reaffirming Jordan’s support for the efforts of the Syrian people to safeguard their country’s stability, sovereignty, and the well-being of its citizens.
Regarding developments in the region, His Majesty reiterated the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and for increasing the flow of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of its people.
The King also reaffirmed Jordan’s firm rejection of Israel’s plans to expand its control in the West Bank and the region.
The meeting was attended by Director of His Majesty’s Office, Eng. Alaa Batayneh.
