The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the statements made by the Israeli Minister of Communications, in which he praised the decision to expand settlements in the “E1” area of the occupied West Bank and invoked the delusions of extremists claiming that both banks of the Jordan River are part of what they call “the Land of Israel.”

Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufian Qudah reaffirmed the Kingdom’s outright rejection of these provocative and inciting remarks, stressing that they will not undermine Jordan’s firm stance in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its call to end the war crimes committed against them. He added that such statements reflect the reality of an internationally isolated Israeli government mired in deep crisis, whose extremist officials resort to promoting racist, exclusionary, and hate-driven rhetoric that fuels and perpetuates ongoing conflict in the region.
Ambassador Qudah warned against the continuation of the extremist Israeli government’s policies, which threaten the region’s security and stability and constitute systematic violations of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334, which condemns all Israeli measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967, including East Jerusalem. He also recalled the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which confirmed the illegality of the Israeli occupation and the invalidity of settlement construction and land annexation in the West Bank.
He renewed Jordan’s call on the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel and its extremist government to halt all provocative statements and measures that threaten regional stability and international peace and security, to end its aggression against Gaza and its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, and to provide necessary protection for the Palestinian people and ensure their legitimate rights to establish an independent sovereign state on their national soil, while holding perpetrators of crimes against them accountable.
