District Governor (Mutasarrif) Abdul Rahman Al-Rabab'ah stated that these measures are part of a strictly enforced oversight plan during the holy month of Ramadan, coinciding with increased demand for food and beverages. He emphasized that the committee will not tolerate any violations that compromise citizens' health.
He explained that the inspection teams seized the non-compliant juices due to poor storage conditions and failure to adhere to approved health standards. The quantities were disposed of on-site according to legal protocols to prevent them from reaching the markets.
Regarding the bakery, Al-Rabab'ah noted that the decision to halt its operations was made after documenting health violations that require immediate rectification. He added that other establishments were granted legal grace periods to correct their status, warning of harsher measures if they fail to comply.
Al-Rabab'ah highlighted that these campaigns are carried out in cooperation with the Directorate of Health, local municipalities, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), and the Royal Administration for Environmental and Tourism Protection.
He concluded by confirming that these daily inspections will persist throughout the holy month, calling on business owners to strictly adhere to health requirements to ensure consumer safety and maintain public trust in local markets.
