Al-Azzam, during a meeting with several leaders of the Jordanian Al-Qudwa Party, noted that the saved funds have been redirected to finance infrastructure projects in the city, enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and contributing to the development of public facilities. He added that the municipality’s budget for the current year reached 43 million Jordanian dinars.

He added that the municipality has begun implementing infrastructure projects, including the reconstruction of large sections of Dr. Arif Al-Bataineh Street and Omar Al-Mukhtar Street. Around 70,000 square meters of asphalt paving will soon be carried out in the Bayt Ras area, along with paving works in several other locations and the installation of stormwater drainage lines in areas identified during recent rainstorms.

Al-Azzam pointed out that the municipality is preparing to tender projects to improve streets and sidewalks in the city center and increase green spaces, noting that around 10,000 trees have already been planted, with ongoing work in parks, squares, and medians.

He emphasized that the municipality continues to work on raising the level of services provided to citizens by evaluating performance, following up on field operations, addressing citizen feedback seriously, and strengthening communication with media outlets as partners in information dissemination and transparency.

Meanwhile, the party’s Secretary-General, Eyad Al-Najjar, stated that empowering municipalities with clear authorities, adequate resources, and supportive legislation constitutes a genuine path toward administrative reform and sustainable development, highlighting the importance of partnership between the municipality and citizens to serve the city’s interests.
