Tareq Al-Hatamleh, owner of a travel and tourism agency, said that “the current president, the one who is appointed by the government, of the association does not perform his duties in order to facilitate the workflow at the association.”

He added that the appointed president breaches laws and regulations of the association’s internal by-law, in addition to obstructing any progress of the association.

Issam Al-Shaer, another travel agency owner, said that the sector has been deteriorating for 17 months without support.
He said that it is important to elect, not appoint, a council from the general assembly.
