The department added that it handled 21,656 reports nationwide, alongside managing 340 duties and events during the holiday, emphasizing that no unusual traffic congestion or disruptions were recorded throughout the period.
The Traffic Department further explained that more than 1,254 traffic officers and 485 vehicles participated in executing the traffic plan. They were deployed across the capital, Amman, and other governorates, as well as at the entrances and exits of cities, to ensure a smooth traffic flow and to address various observations and reports.
The department noted that the traffic plan commenced on Arafat Day, covering commercial areas, shopping districts, clothing and sweet shops, and bakeries. It also included monitoring sacrificial animal sale sites starting from the first day of Eid to facilitate the movement of citizens and oversee traffic flow at those locations.
The Traffic Department confirmed that traffic officers continued to perform their regulatory and humanitarian duties throughout the days of Eid al-Adha, noting that citizens' commitment to traffic regulations and signs contributed significantly to the success of the plan and the maintenance of smooth traffic flow. — (Al-Mamlaka)
