The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs confirmed that it has prepared alternative plans for transporting pilgrims to overcome potential travel disruptions caused by regional tensions.
Spokesperson Mohammad Al-Tawalbeh told Al-Mamlaka that the ministry has developed multiple scenarios to address any developments that may affect travel, emphasizing that “pilgrims will perform Hajj safely.”
He noted that Jordan’s quota stands at 8,000 pilgrims, in addition to 4,500 pilgrims from Arab citizens of 1948 territories.
Al-Tawalbeh explained that all logistical arrangements are in their final stages, including transportation and accommodation preparations. He added that the ministry will announce full details next week, stressing that it is the only official authority responsible for issuing Hajj-related arrangements.
He also indicated that travel schedules—particularly flights—will be linked to the departure timing of the first Hajj convoys for this season.
He affirmed that all aspects related to pilgrims’ accommodation, transport, and services have been fully arranged, ensuring sufficient time to organize departures from Jordan to Saudi Arabia.
