Significant drop in cases witnessed

The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Tuesday reached 82.

According to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 2,790 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 7,937 and the caseload to 672,090.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the ministry said:

798 cases were recorded in Amman.
397 in Irbid.
383 in Zarqa.
126 in Balqa.
143 in Mafraq.
171 in Karak.
158 in Ajloun.
111 in Aqaba.
161 in Jerash.
98 in Tafileh.
112 in Maan.
132 in Madaba.

The ministry added in a statement that some 6,570 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 305 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 53,539, according to the ministry’s statement.

More than 610,614 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 11.71 percent of the 23,823 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
