Cases hover around lower averages

The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 65, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 3,340 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 7,773 and the caseload to 665,735.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said that 1,033 cases were recorded in Amman, 500 in Irbid, 412 in Zarqa, 287 in Balqa, 204 in Mafraq, 116 in Karak, 162 in Ajloun, 125 in Aqaba, 141 in Jerash, 164 in Tafileh, 28 in Maan, and 168 in Madaba.

The ministry added in a statement that some 2,789 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 363 others were admitted, bringing the total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients to 3,182. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 61,669, according to the ministry’s statement.

More than 570,327 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 12.54 percent of the 26,644 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
