Positivity rate back to downward trend

The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Tuesday reached 100, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 6,005 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 7,383 and the caseload to 645,449.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the ministry said that 2,269 cases were recorded in Amman, 946 in Irbid, 830 in Zarqa, 375 in Balqa, 306 in Mafraq, 251 in Karak, 204 in Ajloun, 181 in Aqaba, 171 in Jerash, 153 in Tafileh, 80 in Maan, and 243 in Madaba.

The ministry added in a statement that some 9,130 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 347 others were admitted, bringing the total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients to 3,182. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 76,172, according to the ministry’s statement.

More than 562,894 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 13.62 percent of the 44,086 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
