The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the Anti-Narcotics Department has intensified its operations over the past few days to pursue drug dealers, traffickers, and promoters. Fourteen raids and broad security operations were carried out across various regions of the Kingdom, resulting in the arrest of 44 individuals involved in drug-related activities, including several classified as extremely dangerous. Large quantities of various drugs were seized during these operations.

One of the major operations took place in the capital and the central Badia, where an extensive security campaign led to the arrest of 12 individuals, including two considered extremely dangerous. Significant amounts of drugs and firearms were confiscated from those arrested.
Another campaign was conducted in southern Amman, leading to the arrest of seven drug dealers and promoters, with drugs and firearms seized in their possession. In Mafraq Governorate, a similar campaign resulted in the arrest of five wanted individuals, with one found in possession of 4 kilograms of hashish.
In terms of smuggling cases, the department thwarted three major smuggling attempts. The first was at the Jaber border crossing, where, in coordination with Jordanian customs and security agencies, a freight vehicle was seized containing 800,000 narcotic pills and three firearms. Four suspects were arrested for their involvement in the attempted re-export of the drugs to a neighboring country.
In the second case, four individuals were found to be storing large quantities of narcotic pills in preparation for smuggling. After surveillance and locating the stash in the capital, authorities raided the site, seizing 30,000 pills hidden in a secret compartment of a freight vehicle and arrested the suspects.
The third case occurred in a rugged desert area in Aqaba, where a man had prepared a location to store drugs before smuggling them to a neighboring country. He was arrested, and 170,000 pills were found at the site.
In the central Badia, authorities raided the home of a drug and arms dealer, arresting him and seizing 44 hashish slabs and 9 firearms. In the southern Badia, two dealers were arrested with 22 hashish slabs and a firearm.
In the capital, a dangerous drug dealer was apprehended after a vehicle raid. A search of his vehicle and home uncovered 70 hashish slabs. In a separate case in the capital, a promoter was arrested with 6 hashish slabs, crystal meth, and narcotic pills.
In Aqaba, two separate cases were handled. In the first, a dealer operating in a remote desert area was arrested with 27 hashish slabs and a firearm. In the second, another dealer was arrested with 18 hashish slabs.
In Ramtha, after receiving information about the spread of synthetic cannabis (known as Joker), a specialized team investigated and arrested a promoter with 3 kilograms of the substance. In a separate case in Ramtha, two promoters were arrested with 14 hashish slabs.
The final case occurred in Zarqa, where a drug dealer resisted arrest but was eventually subdued and found in possession of 12 hashish slabs.
