According to a local media outlet, Kharabsheh told the House Energy Committee that the investigation team had been given three weeks, but that finalizing the report had been delayed due to the large quantity of data.

He said the ministry had reviewed a draft of the investigation committee’s report and had granted the committee more time after asking it to provide clear recommendations.

He added that the final version of the report will be presented to the Cabinet within a week and that the government is preparing benchmarks to be able to assess companies’ performance in exceptional weather conditions.

He indicated that a study concerning the infrastructure in the areas where companies distribute electricity is currently underway, to ensure better distribution.
