The Public Security Directorate has warned of the upcoming weather depression expected to affect the Kingdom starting Friday, with heavy rainfall at times in northern and central regions as well as the southwestern areas. The rain may be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, according to weather bulletins issued by the relevant authorities.

The Directorate emphasized adherence to precautionary guidelines and safe behavior to reduce accidents of all kinds, as follows:
Stay away from valley sides, flood-prone areas, and low-lying regions.
Drive cautiously on rain-affected roads to avoid skidding and avoid crossing water accumulations on foot or by vehicle.
Use heating devices safely: do not refuel them while lit, do not leave them on while sleeping, and ensure proper ventilation in homes at all times.
Inspect and maintain rainwater drainage channels to prevent water levels from rising and flooding homes.
Provide water pumps to avoid water accumulation in basements of homes below road level.
Secure loose objects that could be blown away by strong winds and gusts.
Do not hesitate to call the unified emergency number 911 if necessary.
