Palestinian Affairs Department meets with UNRWA, union

AMMAN — Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs Rafiq Khirfan on Tuesday held a joint meeting with UNRWA Director of Operations Marta Lorenzo and Head of the UNRWA Workers Union Riyad Zygan, according to Ammon News.اضافة اعلان

The meeting is one in a series of meetings to discuss a roadmap for Palestinian refugee workers in Jordan. Discussions focused on the criteria and principles that will be adopted to reach 7.5 percent of workers employed on per-diem basis.

Kharfan affirmed the Jordanian government's readiness to provide all means of support to the agency to help Palestinian refugees in the kingdom. Lorenzo, in turn, expressed her appreciation of Jordan’s continued support to the agency.
