Khasawneh said that over the last three years, Jordan, like most countries in the world, has been witnessing one of the most difficult crisis in human history, the COVID-19 pandemic, whose extensive negative impact challenged most expectations and strategies.

He stressed that the pandemic clearly proved the need for a continuous review of strategies related to crises and disasters.

“We have overcome the corona crisis, and have come a long way on the road to recovery, thanks to the directives of HRH, Crown Prince Hussein, as well as of the efforts of all state institutions,” the premier said.

He stressed that dealing with COVID-19 was “not easy; we established field hospitals and equipped them, employed thousands of health cadres, and provided millions of doses of vaccines, in addition to spending on business sustainability and supporting those affected”.
