Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, the Ministry’s Secretary-General for Educational Affairs, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the violations varied in type and number. The most common was the cancellation of two exam sessions, which was imposed on 350 students. Additionally, 213 students received penalties for the cancellation of one subject, 73 had an entire exam session canceled, 63 received official warnings, and 7 were banned from taking exams for two years.

The Ministry had issued several instructions, guidelines, and warnings at the start of the exam period to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. One of the key instructions was for students to arrive at the exam hall an hour before the session begins.

Students were strictly prohibited from bringing mobile phones, smartwatches, and any type of pens into the exam halls to avoid administrative penalties. The Ministry also emphasized that all exam-related materials—such as stickers and paper scraps—must be left outside the hall.

A total of 209,871 students are participating in the 2025 General Secondary Education Certificate Examination, including 147,461 regular students and 62,410 private study students.
