Minister says Defense order protects creditors’ rights

AMMAN — The recently issued defense order related to suspending debtors’ imprisonment terms till the end of the year does not lead to losing creditors’ rights, Justice Minister Ahmad Ziadat said on Tuesday. Ziadat told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that anyone that receives a final ruling in their favor can attach the debtors’ movable and immovable assets, if any. The minister also stressed that the relation between landlords and tenants is governed by the law, where the aggrieved person can resort to court, which can attach the debtors’ movable and immovable assets, upon the creditor’s request.اضافة اعلان
