This paves the way for preparing tender documents related to the airport’s development and operation, within a defined timeline to ensure the project meets the highest international standards.
Minister Al-Tahtamouni emphasized that the Amman Civil Airport project is a strategic priority, as it plays a vital role in supporting the air transport sector and reinforcing Jordan’s status as a regional hub for aviation and logistics services. She stressed the importance of completing all remaining technical and administrative requirements to secure the airport's licensing and ensure optimal operation.
She further noted that the airport’s development is a crucial step in enhancing domestic and international air connectivity, while also stimulating tourism and economic investment. The project, she affirmed, is being carried out in full coordination with all relevant stakeholders to guarantee progress in line with the approved plan.
The Ministry of Transport is holding regular follow-up meetings to monitor the project’s progress, address any challenges, and ensure its implementation according to the established schedule, ultimately achieving the goals set for the reopening of Amman Civil Airport.
