Minister of Justice welcomes US Ambassador for strategic talks

AMMAN — On October 3, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ziyadat, the Minister of Justice, welcomed Her Excellency Ms. Yael Lambert, the ambassador of the United States of America, and her accompanying delegation in his office. Also present were Judge Dr. Saad Al-Lawzi, the secretary-general of the Ministry of Justice for Judicial Affairs, and Ms. Khuloud Al-Abbadi, the secretary-general of the Ministry of Justice for Administrative and Financial Affairs.اضافة اعلان

During the meeting, various topics related to Jordan's justice sector were discussed. This included an overview of the key elements of the Justice Sector Strategy for the years 2023-2026 and the role of the Ministry of Justice in facilitating access to justice across various domains.

Particular attention was paid to modern technological advancements employed in legal procedures, such as remote trials and electronic services. Both sides underscored their commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation.

Ziyadat expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the U.S. to Jordan's justice sector through projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development.

Ambassador Lambert highlighted the significance of the strategic relationship between the two friendly nations and conveyed the United States' deep appreciation for Jordan's role in the region.
