In a statement today, Sunday, the government called on the UN Security Council, trade unions, parliaments, and civil society organizations worldwide to exert maximum pressure on their governments to stop supporting the Israeli occupation and impose effective punitive measures.

The government warned of the rapid spread of lethal hunger and malnutrition across all governorates of the Gaza Strip, urging the international community and free peoples of the world to take immediate action to halt the policy of starvation and genocide faced by the Palestinian people. It stressed the need to pressure Israel to open all crossings and ensure safe humanitarian corridors for the delivery of sufficient food, medicine, and aid.

The International Food Security Monitoring Body (IPC) has reported that over half a million people in Gaza are facing catastrophic levels of hunger and severe malnutrition.
