Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Al-Yahya are co-chairing the fifth session of the Jordanian-Kuwaiti Joint Higher Committee, held on Wednesday in Kuwait.

Preparatory meetings for the fifth session were held in the Kuwaiti capital on Monday, during which recommendations were submitted to the higher committee.
The Joint Higher Committee is one of the regularly convened bilateral bodies, and its fifth session is currently taking place in Kuwait City.
Both sides are counting on the outcomes of these meetings to enhance political, economic, trade, investment, and industrial relations, in addition to cooperation in transportation, agriculture, education, international cooperation, and industrial cities, among other areas.
The committee will also discuss mechanisms to increase trade volume and address obstacles hindering the smooth flow of goods between the two countries. The meetings are expected to conclude with the signing of the session's final statement and a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding in fields of mutual interest.
Minister Safadi began an official visit to Kuwait on Tuesday, during which he is holding talks on strengthening the historic fraternal ties between the two countries and expanding cooperation in various fields, as well as addressing regional developments.
