The government on Sunday launched the executive program of the National Cleanliness Strategy and the initiative to curb random littering at the Prime Ministry.

Minister of Government Communication and the government’s official spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, said that the launch of the executive program comes as part of comprehensive national efforts to address this concerning phenomenon, reflecting a firm commitment to protecting public health and the environment, and to improving overall cleanliness across the Kingdom’s governorates.
Al-Momani added, during a meeting with media representatives, that the program embodies an integrated approach that links environmental and development policies. It aims to enhance quality of life, preserve natural resources, and strengthen Jordan’s position as an attractive tourist destination.
He stressed that the program seeks to ensure a clean and healthy environment, reflecting the positive image of Jordan, its hospitable people, and its societal values.
In a related context, Minister of Environment Ayman Suleiman affirmed that the launch of the program is a direct response to growing environmental challenges associated with random littering and the serious negative impacts resulting from the accumulation of waste in undesignated areas.
The minister explained that the core objective of the program is to achieve a comprehensive qualitative shift in the state of public cleanliness by improving the efficiency of waste management systems and enhancing regulatory frameworks, thereby safeguarding the ecosystem and elevating the urban and civilizational appearance of cities.
