The project will cover the stretch from Kufr Asad traffic light in the Al-Wasatiyah District to Muadh Bin Jabal traffic light in the Northern Jordan Valley District, in Irbid Governorate, spanning a total of eight kilometers.
Work includes milling the existing asphalt layer and laying a new 7 cm-thick asphalt layer, in addition to road markings, traffic safety elements, and other essential tasks in line with international standards.
In coordination with the Highway Patrol Department of the Public Security Directorate, traffic diversions will be implemented along the full 8 km work zone. The road will be split using plastic barriers, and construction will proceed on one lane at a time, keeping the other open for traffic. Upon completion of one lane, it will be reopened, and work will begin on the opposite lane.
The ministry has equipped the detour areas with all necessary safety elements, including warning and directional signs.
The Ministry urges drivers to adhere to traffic safety rules and follow the instructions of on-site crews, public security officers, and supervising personnel to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic during the project.
