Al-Zyoud noted that inspection teams conducted 14 inspection visits to the company, the latest of which took place on Monday. He added that the first complaint regarding unpaid wages was received and documented through the Himaya Platform in October of last year.
He further stated that the number of labor complaints submitted to the ministry regarding the company has reached around 47, most of which relate to delayed wages.
Al-Zyoud explained that the violations issued by inspection teams were due to the company’s failure to comply with the ministry’s procedures. These violations have been referred to the judiciary to enable workers to obtain their labor rights.
He added that each violation falls under Article 139 of the Labor Law, which stipulates a fine ranging from 500 to 1,000 Jordanian dinars. If the penalty under the Penal Code is more severe, it will be applied instead. In cases of multiple violations, the penalties are accumulated.
