King Abdullah noted ongoing reform efforts across all political, economic and administrative fields, stressing that it requires cooperation among all to achieve the desired goals.

His Majesty pointed out the direct impact of administrative reform on economic reform and public-private cooperation.

Noting that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy requires action to mitigate its burden on citizens and reduce unemployment and poverty levels, the King underscored the importance of establishing projects in various regions to contribute to job creation.

Referencing his recent visit to the United States, His Majesty reaffirmed the US administration’s awareness of the need to work with the Palestinians and the Israelis on relaunching dialogue, and highlighted the commitment of US President Joe Biden to the two-state solution.

The King said discussions in Washington, DC, included talks related to providing aid for the Palestinians and the challenges facing UNRWA, adding that a conference will be held in Sweden to explore means of boosting support for the agency.

His Majesty reiterated Jordan’s full support for Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, highlighting active cooperation and coordination with a number of Arab states on the importance of preserving the legal and historical status-quo in Jerusalem, and noting their appreciation of the Jordanian position in this regard.

The King stressed that the world appreciates the Palestinian people and Jordan’s role in standing side-by-side with them as they seek their legitimate rights.

For their part, the attendees commended the King’s unwavering position on the Palestinian cause and his efforts to defend Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, praising the outcomes of the Royal visit to Washington, DC, and the focus on supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinians and UNRWA.

They also thanked His Majesty for his ongoing efforts to reach out to the public and hear their concerns.
