Gold prices in Jordan recorded a new increase on Tuesday, as the selling price of 21-karat gold—the most sought-after by consumers in the local market—rose by 1.40 piastres to reach 90.5 Jordanian dinars per gram for retail sales at jewelry shops, compared with 86.8 dinars for buying.

According to the morning bulletin issued by the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry and Goldsmith Shops, the selling price per gram of 24-, 18-, and 14-karat gold at jewelry shops stood at 103.2 dinars, 80.2 dinars, and 62.5 dinars, respectively.
